Story Synopsis

image36

This is a short film based on the true life story of veteran actor Gail Everett-Smith, that chronicles the lives of an African American Family, from the early 1960's to the mid 1980's, as they attempt to cope and deal with a family members' mental illness, that happens to be triggered by the onset of menopause. This film explores the American Black family diaspora and the stigma of mental health vs. the beliefs of the black church.
