This is a short film based on the true life story of veteran actor Gail Everett-Smith, that chronicles the lives of an African American Family, from the early 1960's to the mid 1980's, as they attempt to cope and deal with a family members' mental illness, that happens to be triggered by the onset of menopause. This film explores the American Black family diaspora and the stigma of mental health vs. the beliefs of the black church.
Gail Everett-Smith is a CEO and veteran actor, with experience that spans more than 30 years in the entertainment industry. This highly acclaimed actress has a background that includes, theater, television, film and working as a print model. As an accomplished business professional, Gail has run a successful talent marketing firm and helped to cultivate careers and hone the craft of many artisans, through her own company ActNet Entertainment, established in 2012.
